the following locations are available for Standard, Extended, and Voyage sessions
Flatiron Vistas—Boulder, CO
Just 30 minutes outside of Denver, the flatirons are easily one of our favorite locations all year round. The flowers here vary each year, but peak from end of May to late June. Each flower type blooms at a different time making each session so unique. When the flowers aren't blooming, the golden wheat grass catches the light and shimmers. The wide open space of the Flatirons gives us so much space to be creative and never leave out the dramatic mountain views. Below are some of our favorite photos taken here.
Accessibility: The area we like best is about .3 miles walk, but it's stunning straight out of the parking lot, so we can adapt and stay more accessible.
Privacy: You can expect to see other trail goers at this location any day of the week, this might not be the best location for highly reactive dogs.
Weather: Sometimes gets windy, can be hot in summer.
Peak: All year round!
Leashes: If you have the Boulder sight tag, your dog can be off leash!
Loveland Pass
Loveland Pass is such a beautiful spot! Sometimes I feel like it was created just for photos. The views are 360 and the flowers are so pretty. This area gets paintbrush flowers and yellow daisies and as one passes, the next one blooms. Each time slot we have gets different lighting, with some amazing alpine glow on the mountains and lucky sunsets. Being above tree line isn't for everyone, but this location is one we always get SO excited to shoot at. Below are some of our favorite photos from Loveland Pass!
Accessibility: The area we like best is about .15 miles walk, but it's stunning straight out of the parking lot, so we can adapt and stay more accessible.
Privacy: You can expect to see other trail goers at this location but most of the folks we see are doing photoshoots too and we all respect each other's space
Weather: This is a high alpine location and weather changes suddenly. We're happy to reschedule, but we might not know exact conditions until we are there for your shoot. It can get windy, and be cold even in the middle of summer
Peak: July-August + Mid October for snow
Leashes: We recommend having a leash for this location!
Guanella Pass
We have various spots on Guanella we love to shoot at, and if you're wanting to book an aspen session, you'll receive a custom pin for your location 48 hours before your session. (note: due to aspen colors changing quickly, we cannot guarantee an exact location.)
Accessibility: You may need a AWD car, but standard clearance cars have made it to every location we have. Our shoots happen very close to parking areas.
Privacy: Depending on the exact spot you'll either see a lot of folks or no one at all. We've gotten very lucky in the past to have totally private sessions, but leaf peeping gets busier every year!
Weather: Weather can vary in this area, but we generally have been very lucky in the autumn. Our summer session weather can change by the minute up here.
Peak: June-July + September
Leashes: We recommend having a leash.
Wash Park—Denver, CO
In the heart of Denver lies an adventure just like any other, your daily walk around the park. While we love our sessions that take place in the mountains, we love our city sessions just as much. Wash park is stunning most of the year and in the summer, our sessions are filled with the beautiful gardens maintained by the parks department.
Accessibility: Wash Park is as accessible as it comes! While most of our locations are MOSTLY accessible, this one is ADA accessible.
Privacy: Wash Park is a public park and you should expect to see many people around during your session.
Weather: It can get hot in the summer here.
Peak: April - November, with flowers blooming June-August.
Leashes: Leashes are required for park sessions.
Echo Lake—Idaho Springs, CO
Echo lake is the only ADA accessible mountain trail we have found that is beautiful from the start of the trail, making it our most accessible location with mountain views. We love this location, especailyl in the winter, because we can avoid ski traffic by taking alternative routes that keeps you mostly off I-70.
Accessibility: ADA accessible and less than .25 miles walking total.
Privacy: Because this is a popular hiking area, we'll encounter hikers here, but its never absurdly busy.
Weather: Weather can vary in this area as it is just below tree line. Luckily, being in the trees protects us from super high winds.
Peak: All year round!
Leashes: Leashes are required in this Mount Evans Wilderness area.
Mount Falcon Park—Morrison, CO
While we've only photographed here a few times, we're really looking forward to photographing more at Mount Falcon Park! The tall grasses and views really inspired us when we photographed here for a last minute session.
Accessibility: About .7 miles total walking but shorter distances are easily accommodated.
Privacy: This is a popular hiking area and we'll likely see other people and dogs.
Weather: This spot is close enough to Denver that conditions are similar to what we have in the front range.
Peak: All year round!
Leashes: Leashes are required in this park.
Kenosha Pass, CO
We have various spots on Kenosha we love to shoot at, and if you're wanting to book an aspen session, you'll receive a custom pin for your location 48 hours before your session. (note: due to aspen colors changing quickly, we cannot guarantee an exact location.)

Leashes: We recommend having a leash.
Chautauqua Park—Boulder, CO
Chautauqua Park is where Tails of Voyage started! Each year, we'd offer "mini sessions" around the holidays and we loved photographing dog sessions that we decided to make it our entire career. We ONLY photograph at Chautauqua for mini sessions each year, and it's always fun to revisit this area.
Accessibility: Only .1 miles of walking required, though finding a close parking spot can sometimes be hard requiring additional effort.
Privacy: This is the most high traffic location we have, sometimes even busier than Wash Park!
Weather: Sometimes the trails can be icy, and it's quite cold normally.
