Colorado Weather is Weird:
WOW. Shooting Nikki and Jason was super weird... because the weather was all over the place. Leaving Denver, it was about 60 degrees. We rode with the windows down the whole way to the mountains until we were about ten miles from our location. The temperature started dropping and when we got to our location, my car thermometer read "17 degrees" oh. okay. 40 mile an hour gusts of wind off of snow banks and ugh we were bummed. Nikki and Jason were CHAMPS and braved the cold for like 10 minutes and we decided we needed to change locations. We drive ONLY 15 minutes away and its 40 degrees. And sunny with no wind. And we spent the rest of our shoot at a new location.
I'm so thankful Julie and I spend so much time hiking and being outside. We have an ENDLESS list of places we can go for a shoot and always have like six back ups... because in Colorado, you never know. Colorado is like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're going to get.
Please enjoy some of my favorite photos of Nikki and Jason in the cold and in the warmth, but you can't tell which is which cause they are amazing.
