Arguably the most time consuming part of our job is location scouting—specifically because we keep real time tabs on the current conditions to make sure we're shooting at each location when the flowers are peaking! You'll see some of our favorite photoshoot locations below, and if you don't see a location you'd love a shoot at, send us an email!
The things we take into consideration when scouting:
Is this location dog friendly (both off leash and on leash)?
How busy does this location get at peak times?
What is traffic like on the way to the shoot?
Is this an epic Colorado landscape?
What wildflowers will we see?
We have narrowed our summer locations down to FIVE of our favorite spots, seen below with example photos for each so you can choose your favorite summer location :)
FlatIrons, CO
Our closest location to Denver, Flatirons peak in late spring, early summer! Off leash allowed with the Boulder voice and sight tag, but we're professionals at leash removals from photos ;)
Loveland Pass, CO
Our favorite location to shoot at, just about an hour from Denver, 360 views and stunning flowers peaking in late July, early August. Leashes up to your discretion. Note: This is a high alpine location, subject to last minute weather reschedule.
Mount Evans Wilderness, CO
Your standard Colorado lake surrounded by pines, and stunning views. This location typically doesn't get flowers, as it's not high alpine. On leash required, but we're professionals at leash removals from photos ;)
Medicine Bow Wilderness, WY
One of our newest locations, while our only out of state option at the moment, you'll see why the three hour drive from Denver is worth it. Leashes up to your discretion.
Wash Park, CO
We love shooting at local Denver Parks, and Washington Park is probably our favorite. Flowers in Wash Park typically bloom in late June, early July. We love local sessions and are happy to meet you anywhere in Denver for a session at a local park or a private backyard session :) Leashes required at all Denver area parks
